Common - mode filters are relatively simple to design and include common - mode capacitors, unbalanced transformers or common - mode inductors.The common-mode capacitor bypasses the common-mode current of the two input lines to the ground. The common-mode inductor presents an equilibrium impedance, that is, the impedance in the power line is equal to that in the ground wire. This impedance presents an impedance characteristic to common-mode noise.
